In New Delhi, the BJP held a rally in Burari to express gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for two recent decisions benefitting rural villages in Delhi. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva referred to these decisions as a "Diwali gift" for residents. The party claimed credit for resolving long-standing issues like land mutations and the elimination of mandatory no objection certificates for power connections in certain parts of the city. However, the AAP accused the BJP of attempting to take credit for the work done by its own government and accused them of misleading the public. Sachdeva highlighted that these changes were a result of the BJP's efforts in engaging with the LG of Delhi.

He further explained that the new policies have allowed for easier property transfers and simplified the electricity connection process in unauthorized colonies. He emphasized the BJP's commitment to addressing the needs of the underprivileged and claimed that only those genuinely invested in the well-being of Delhi would understand their efforts. Sachdeva also expressed confidence in the BJP's prospects in the upcoming elections and pledged to extend electricity and water subsidies to the middle-class in the near future.The implementation of the Prime Minister's housing scheme, Ayushman Bharat, and the regularization of temporary workers such as home guards, bus marshals, and guest teachers are prioritized. Sachdeva challenged the AAP government regarding the demolition of slums by its departments, stating that no colony would be destroyed without offering replacement housing to its inhabitants under the BJP's administration. Furthermore, he mentioned that the Yamuna River is set to be free of pollution within a year through the Nirmal Yamuna Plan.
